Yah, I'm sure long term stability of the coaching staff, brilliant football strategy, hard work and focus, not to mention hard work and supreme conditioning ... and did I mention hard work?
I'm sure none of that has anything to do with the being Ducks 12-0, setting scoring & yardage records, or their presence in the 'natty' this year.
But wait! If they were using Phil Knight's money (not Nike's) to just BUY football talent, wouldn't they have been busted like USC and Newton (almost) for recruiting violations? Oh yah -- that didn't happen.
Now if you wanna talk about Knight's money buying lots of new football uniforms --- well you win ....
It hasn't happened YET ha ha. One never knows. Knight didn't have to buy PLAYERS ... he bought FACILITIES to attract players.
What I like best about Oregon is the coach, who said about Knight, "He's the owner." I admire such honesty.
