Going in early to tape an interview with Primus St. John for a profile for the review. This is his last term before retirement.
Pick up student projects today. May or may not have a class.
The Kindle is wonderful. Adds a kind of convenience, portability and flexibility to reading that the weight of books doesn't permit. Moreover I find it "easier" to read, the type and contrast, and control one ha, make for a more friendly reading environment. Except for some navigation issues ... lack of shortcuts ... I have no complaints whatever thus far. Have easily connected wireless at Starbucks and McDonald's though i still have figured out how to get hooked up at home. But once I get my cable to hook to my computer, I won't need to do that anyway.
Next week at this time I should be finishing up grades.
Next term I may audit a class if there's room, Bill Tate's Film in American Culture. It's noon to two on Tues and Thurs, the days I teach and am on campus. Might be a good thing to do!
My post-project attitude, my semi-retirement attitude, has improved since getting the Kindle. Nothing like losing yourself in good books to drive away the heebie-jeebies. One of my early musical recollections, Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five, Armstrong croaking, "Got the heebie-jeebies!"
