3 gadgets that changed my day's rhythm

  • Acer Netbook. This has changed my work and daily rhythms significantly. I spend about 10% of the time I used to spend in my basement office because now I can take all the chores I did down there with me. I do all my routine tasks here except finances. I even can edit video here, though for major projects I prefer to work downstairs because all the archival material is on two external hard drives down there. But the netbook has changed my rhythm more than any other gadget.
  • Hand pump coffee maker. I used to go out for coffee several times a day. Now I make it at home. So this eventually will be saving me money as well.
  • Kindle. The new kid on the block but I already see how much more reading I do with it. It's so damn convenient and it's so easy to switch between books -- I'm always reading more than one at once -- and I think it is "easier" to read the text on the Kindle than on a page.

These three together have changed my life's rhythms in major ways.
