Read the new poetry book yesrerday, after a little distance from it. I endorse it. It has the feel of "a last book" to me, which it probably isn't. At the same time, it's good to have one in the wings just in case. In your mid 70s, one is either close or very close to journey's end. Of course, I hope I get to enjoy a few years without the responsibility of teaching, which I take seriously. I might even tackle a music project, a very old fantasy of mine. The vocal score of a music drama. Makes more sense than writing - what is left to say?
At any rate, I endorse A Majority of One, possible last book, probable last book of poems, published by Round Bend Press on October 26. Happy birthday to me. Go Bruins!
