Crunch time

A productive day, and I need another tomorrow, focusing on school prep.

Man, summer raced by.

Okay, concerning school and screenplay writing: is it fifteen beat story structure or three act structure? You know, as a genre, Hollywood blockbusters now use their own beat structure--fifteen, which, in my opinion, doesn't work. I mean, just look at some of the blockbusters of the last five years.

For my part, I'm sticking with three act structure. It's not as constrained, and, in my opinion, it's better suited to message-themed film making--like the films of the '70s.

Is a dollar ten dimes or twenty nickels? Structure is about two things: Aristotle ( beginning, middle, end) and semantics. In LaLaLand, fashion and politics come into play, too.
