Boom

Another thunderstorm rolled through early this morning, our second in three days if I count right, very unusual here. Not the monstrous dark brooding storms that regularly rolled over Maryland's Eastern Shore when I lived there, but loud enough to scare the dog. Prelude to tomorrow when he'll really go bonkers.

A good First Wednesday reading. However, I'm looking for someone to take this series over. I did what I set out to do, get it established and validated, but now I need someone to run with it. If it were more conveniently located, I might stick it out but the rush hour long drive to get there is a hassle. I offered the reins to someone would can do it damn well but haven't heard back yet.

Really eager to start looking at the new splay, which is called HUCKLEBERRY DREAM, more carefully. Drafting and rewriting a script are very different energies. The first can be frantic, the story racing in your head faster than you can get it down, then crashing into a wall to remain still for hours or days, then sprinting off again. Rewriting is more mellow and deliberate. You can have an entire cup of coffee thinking about how a short sentence should be phrased. My favorite part of the process.
