Common denominator

Mulligan & Baker
I've said this many times before but it still blows me away: the common denominator of my life is listening to west coast jazz. I began in the 1950s and it's still the music I listen to most often, thanks to our local jazz station's infatuation with this same period of jazz. Gerry Mulligan, Chris Connor, Chet Baker -- they've been important in my life forever, it feels. No other facet of my life has this stability over so long a period. Remarkable in its way. (Yes, I listen to other music but none has been my musical oxygen like west coast jazz).
