Online textbooks could work for California - latimes.com

Online textbooks could work for California - latimes.com:

"State Senate leader Darrell Steinberg is on the right track with his proposal to create an open-access digital library for college students. But the devil is in the details."

Online textbooks could work everywhere. The prices are outrageous, with a trapped audience for them. A while back I was thinking of taking a class until I found out the textbook was $75! It was only a history of film, for God's sake. Outrageous. Triply outrageous. Students are being screwed and it's time to stop it. I always consider price when deciding on my own textbooks.
