Pre-writing at Uncle Freddy's
Brooding and bliss for an hour at the supermarket, getting the fixings for my soup, thinking about how to finish the first vignette I started, a critical one that begins a change in attitude of the protagonist, before he discovers a shocking secret about his late wife as he cleans out her closet. I love pre-writing while on errands. Very intense and meditative, but hopefully not so much so that I crash into something or someone. Good progress, at any rate, and now the ingredients for dinner are on the counter.
