Amazon is giving away 900 free books for Kindle today. I went through the list. I downloaded two. TWO! out of 900 that interested me. A book by Joseph Campbell and a book on Buddhism. That was it. Of course, I'm not surprised. Most of the books belonged to various pop lit genres, of no interest to me. There were a couple cookbooks I might have downloaded but I have too many already. There were a few classics I easily can get several other places if I need them.
It's a different experience going through the huge Gutenberg library. There I want to download many things but don't, shocked into inaction by the overwhelming realization of my own illiteracy.
