Caught the last half of
Grand Canyon on cable, an extraordinary movie about race, violence, survival, perspective. Set in L.A. (like
Crash, another fine film with similar themes), filled with good roles (my favorite being Mary Louise Parker as a jilted secretary), and one of the more inspiring endings you can find in recent films, an ending that also is believable. I love this movie and now want to see it again top to bottom, rather than just the last half. Must do so soon.
