Brainstorming with myself
Sometimes, stuck in a writing problem, I write myself a letter, as if to a writer friend, explaining the problem and trying to work it out in the process of explaining it. I did that today during office hours and may have found the key to getting through it. It's the same subplot issue I was dealing with earlier, thought I had resolved but haven't. I need to stop it from slowing down the draft and just barge ahead. As Swami Kree says, "Everything flushes through the toilet."
